This site including the forum is now an archive and is no longer active. Feel free to look through the forum as we have just over 35,000 posts, just realize it is no longer active and never will be again. To learn more about all of this check out Xhaiden's message as it explains more about all of this.
Countless men and women amongst us, both common, and giant, have been influenced by history: historical acts; historical figures; and historical groups. Generals; politicians; and business leaders continue to draw also from fables and mythology. Chaucer's tales, brothers grim, Aesops tales, Homer's Iliad and Odessy to name an important few. These have connected with people in such ways as to influence groups and individuals to aspire to greater things. Our history owes many things to men's actions who were inspired by stories.
The community of Jediism today, those who connected with the stories in Star Wars, share the belief in an open concept of divine power known as 'the Force'. Many aspire further to the concepts in the stories, living thier lives similarly to that which they connected with in these tales, with many of those who, by extrapolation, are living life as a full Jedi in todays world.
Many people ask, how can Jediism be a religion? The definition of religion states that religion is a group of people who share a common belief. The Force is our religion and in that, it is not a question of belief in a God or not, for us it simply doesn't come into play as we believe the guidance of the Force will bring us to a course of right action. As a result, some have been guided to a belief in a God and others have not, but all believe that the Force will set them on their best path possible. We all walk our own path in Jediism. That is to say, none of us all believe and interpret the exact same things on many aspects of the Jedi path. On this website you will find a description of what a Jedi is and what it means to be a member of Jediism. Throughout this site you will find the foundation of the house, from there it is up to the individual to build the house on top of the foundation.
Jediism offers many different features throughout the website. The largest section is the forum, which is where all of the discussions take place. As you look through the website, you will see it is more then just a website, it is a community. We are all friends and we welcome anyone and everyone to join in with us with open arms. Included with the forum is a very nice and easy to use chat room. All you have to do to use the chat room is register to use the forum and you can use the same login information to enter the chat room. This will give members a great opportunity to really get to know each other on a more personal level. Jediism also has a blog section that allows users to post their own writings, thoughts, or anything else on their mind. Jediism is for everyone, so we want to offer as many different options as possible for Jediism members to say what is on their mind. We strive to give our members every opportunity to post or get their thoughts out there for others to read.
We encourage you to look around and if you like what you see and Jediism is who you are, then come on in. Throughout this website you will find the foundations of Jediism and a Jedi which will help you in deciding if this is the path for you. If Jediism is not your religion but you would like to get in on some great discussions and get to know some great people then come on in. All are welcome!!
